Since I was a child I was already fascinated by everything concerning Eastern philosophy, spirituality and ways of healing. After being treated successfully with acupuncture for whiplash, I decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine myself. I chose the education in Antwerp (Belgium) and an apprenticeship in Beijing, China.
Especially my time in China was one big adventure, and I felt very much at home in Beijing. In those days ('90s) I also travelled through China, Tibet and Nepal. These journeys gave me a feeling of "coming home" and a growing connection with spirituality.
Full of inspiration and ideals I started my practice for Oriental ways of healing in 1998. One thing led to another.... I became Reiki Master (Tera Mai), started studying physical therapy and the chakra teachings, and my practice expanded. |

In 2002 again I made a trip that had great influence on me. I went to Hawaii, to swim with wild dolphins. I swam with large groups of spinner dolphins several times and felt myself surrounded by their energy of unconditional love and enormous joy for life. This energy I carry with me forever and I pass it on during my treatments.
On the Big Island of Hawaii I visited the active volcano Kilauea. I got so close to the lavastream I could almost touch it. The Hawaiian people consider the volcano to be the temple of Pele, the earth-goddess (Pelehonuamea, Pele of the Sacred Land). The enormous power of Mother Earth touched me deeply and put me firmly with both feet on the ground. Totally connected with nature and every living being. Uniting the cosmic with the earthly, drawing inspiration from both.
Since that time I use the word Aloha. It is not only used as greeting, but it also means Love and "Come and share your breath and space with me". I also have a Hawaiian middle name now: Mahina. This means moon or moonlight, and stands for intuition and receptiveness.
Since that first journey I revisited Hawaii several times. I was so fortunate to be able to live there for a year, while studying Traditional Hawaiian Healing Arts. After each visit I return to Holland feeling very inspired and full of energy. Happy to be able to share this with the people here in my own country.
Starting point in all my work is that you are a beautiful person, an unique soul. Living in a human body on earth, in a time full of changes. These times are full of challenges and possibilities to open your heart completely. Not just to one or a few people, but to All That Is.
Please enjoy your visit to this website. Maybe you find what you were looking for. In any case, I hope it leaves you feeling good.
Swim free!
Aloha,
